- Regularly check that the load carriers are properly secured
- The maximum roof load is 100 kg
- Distribute the load evenly over the load carriers. Do not load at an angle!
- Position the heaviest load underneath
- Remove the load carriers when not in use. Air resistance is thus reduced which improves fuel consumption and reduces wind noise
- Handling is affected by the actual load and its position. The centre of gravity of the car changes when driving with a load, which affects the handling of the car. Adjust speed accordingly. For further information refer to the manual.
Securing the wind surfer holder on the wing profile load carriers
- Remove the cover on the load carriers
- Remove the rubber seal for the T-grooves
- Slide on the wind surfer holder in the T-groove to the desired position.
- Take the mast holder and position the latch on the horizontal position
- Slide on the mast holder in the T-groove to the desired position
- Twist the latch upwards to the vertical limit position
- Reinstall the cover.
- Measure and cut-out and reinstall the T-groove seals so that they cover the sections of the T-grooves which are not covered by the holders. This is to reduce wind noise.
Securing the wind surfer holder on the oval profile load carriers
- Fold out the cover on the end of the load carriers.
- Remove the rubber seal for the T-grooves
- Slide on the wind surfer holder in the T-groove to the desired position.
- Take the mast holder and position the latch on the horizontal position
- Slide on the mast holder in the T-groove to the desired position
- Twist the latch upwards to the vertical limit position
- Fold the cover back into place.
- Measure and cut-out and reinstall the T-groove seals so that they cover the sections of the T-grooves which are not covered by the holders. This is to reduce wind noise.
