As of the 1993 model year, brake disc protectors are introduced on all cars in the
960 Series. The protectors are also introduced as of the same model year on all 850 and 940 Series cars
supplied to USA/Canada and Japan.Insert the transport protectors if they have not been fitted at the factory. Follow
these instructions.Note! The transport protectors should only be fitted if the discs are free from rust
or other corrosion. To order transport protectors, contact the market manager at Volvo Car Corporation,
Aftersales.

Maximum speed
25 km/h (15 mph). Transport protectors should not be removed
until the car is delivered to the customer. Protectors can be removed without
