Towbar wiring, 7-pin

• Turn the ignition key to position 0
• Make a note of the radio code
• Disconnect the battery negative lead.

• Fold back the floor carpet
• Remove the clips on the right-hand side panel and rear crossmember
• Remove the compartment for the warning triangle. Pull the compartment straight out to release the clips
• Remove the rear crossmember panel.

• Fold out the side panel on the right-hand side.

• Install the towbar connector (1) onto the bracket. Ensure that the wiring is not trapped.

• Route the cable harness along the towbar to the air vent
• Remove the rubber plug on the air vent. Pull through the cable harness
• Secure the cable harness using tie straps (1) and clips (2) as illustrated.

• Disconnect the black and the yellow 6-pin connectors (1) in the car.

• Separate the pre-routed black connector.

Connect the wiring from the towbar connector to the free black connector as follows:

• Yellow (Y) cable to terminal 1
• Green (GN) cable to terminal 2
• Red (R) cable to terminal 3
• Black (SB) cable to terminal 4
• Brown (BN) cable to terminal 5
• White (W) cable to terminal 6
• Assemble the black connectors.

Setting up the reversing lamp function

• Separate the pre-routed yellow connector
• Connect the blue (BL) cable from the towbar connector to terminal 3 on the free yellow connector
• Assemble the yellow connectors.

Setting up the fog lamp function

• Separate the pre-routed yellow connector
• Disconnect the white / violet (W/VO) cable from terminal 5 on the free yellow connector
• Twin the white / violet (W/VO) and blue (BL) cables from the towbar connector and connect to terminal 5
• Assemble the yellow connectors.

• Reinstall the side panel. Reinstall the rear crossmember panel. Reinstall the warning triangle compartment
• Fold back the carpet.

• Turn the ignition key to position II
• Connect the battery negative lead
• Check the function according to point 12
• Enter the anti-theft radio code.

1. 1 = Left turn signal lamp
2. 2 = Reversing lamp / Fog tail lamp
3. 3 = Ground
4. 4 = Right turn signal lamp
5. 5 = Right parking lamp
6. 6 = Stop (brake) lamp
7. 7 = Left parking lamp.
