Примечание: It is recommended that the operations for points en-GB0900c8af8289bc1c#KC01651186 and en-GB0900c8af8289bc1c#KC01651192 are carried out by two people.
- Turn the ignition key to position 0. Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.

- Fold up and remove the floor hatch (1)
- Lift up and remove the storage cover (2)
- Remove the side panel (3) on the right-hand side.

Remove:
- the holder for the battery cover. First remove the two nuts in the front edge of the holder. Then remove the screw in the rear edge
- the cover over the battery
- the negative lead from the battery
- the battery, or move the battery to facilitate access.

Applies to cars with lining mats with four perforations
- Remove the perforated sections (3) of the lining mat.
Applies to cars with lining mats with one perforation
- Remove the lining mat.
Applies to all cars
- Remove the nuts (1) for the bumper
- Disconnect the connector (2) for the antenna.

- Carefully drill out the rivets for the mudguard. Use a 6 mm (13/32”) diameter drill bit
- Remove the mudguards.

- Carefully drill out the rivet (2) underneath the bumper. Use a 6 mm (13/32”) diameter drill bit
- Remove the screw (1).

- Raise the car
- Remove the rear wheels.
Applies to cars with clips

- Remove the clips (1) at the bottom of the bumper cover (press in the centre of the clips until they click). The clips will be reused
- Pull the bumper backwards slightly. Bend out the sides (2) so that they detach from the mounting (3). Continue to pull the bumper backwards until it detaches completely
- Place the bumper on a clean underlay that will not damage the paint.
Applies to cars with mouldings
- Carefully remove the moulding (4) from the expander clips.

Remove:
- the rivet (1) on the bracket (2) for the silencer. Use cutting nippers
- the screws (3) on the bracket
- the bracket by detaching the rubber mountings (4). The bracket will not be used again.

- Remove the screws (1). Remove the bracket (2). This will not be used again.

- Install masking tape on the outside of the bumper cover to avoid damage from the saw
- Mark the inside of the bumper following the dashed line (2) in the illustration (this is for the bracket for the safety cable)
- Saw along the markings (1, 2) as illustrated
- After cutting, smooth off the edges using a file.

- Also cut out the moulding as marked (3).

- Apply masking tape to the outside of the exhaust pipe cover to avoid damage from the saw. Leave the masking tape in place throughout the installation procedure
- Saw along the marked projection. Remove the cut out surface
- After cutting, smooth off the edges using a file.

- Clean away any underseal and dirt from the surfaces between the tow hitch kit and the bodywork.
Carry out the operations according to illustration B on both sides. (The right hand side is displayed)
- Install the screws (7, 8) from underneath the brackets (4:1, 5:1, 9:1), including the sleeves (6). Tighten by hand. The arrows on the brackets (4:1, 5:1, 9:1) must point towards the centre of the car.
Carry out the operation according to illustration C and D
- Loosely install the heat deflector plate (2) using the screw (1)
- Bend the heat deflector plate as illustrated. Use a screwdriver
- Tighten the screw
- Reinstall the rubber mounting (3) for the silencer. Use soap to facilitate installation.
Carry out the operation in illustration E on both sides. (The right hand side is shown)
- Insert the member (1) between the brackets (4:1, 5:1). Centre the member around the holes
- Install the screws (2) and the washers (11) from the underneath of the bracket (5). Install the nuts (3) from above. Do not tighten.
Carry out the operation in illustration A
- Check that the distance between the member (1) and the spare wheel well is 10 mm (25/64”). Centre the tow hitch to the car.
Carry out the operation in illustration B on both sides
- Tighten the screws (7). Tighten to 79 Nm (58 lbf.ft)
- Tighten the screws (8). Tighten to 120 Nm (88 lbf.ft).
Carry out the operation in illustration E on both sides
- Tighten the screws (2) and nut (3). Tighten to 136 Nm (100 lbf.ft).
Carry out the operation in illustration B on both sides
- Wait at least five minutes, so that the joint has time to set. Then tighten the screws (8) a quarter turn (angle tighten 90°) on both sides.
Примечание: Torque tightened screws and nuts that have been removed must not be reused.

- Underseal the car (in Sweden carry out this operation only after a road worthiness inspection by AB Svensk Bilprovning).

Applies to cars with mouldings
- Reinstall the mouldings (3) on the expander clips. Press the mouldings into place.
Applies to all cars
- Reinstall the guide lugs (4) and the clips (5) if they have been removed
- Reinstall the bumper by pressing it forwards. Ensure that the four screws that are protruding from the bumper align in the holes in the car. Before the bumper is completely installed, slide the top edge (1) into the grooves. Then slide the bumper fully in
- Check that the guide lug (4) and clip (5) are centred with the hole in the wheel arch lining.

- Tighten the screw (1) on both sides
- Rivet (2) the bumper to the lower edge of the wheel arch.
Applies to cars with clips and mouldings
- Reinstall the clips in the underside of the bumper. Ensure that the clip locks are in the normal position.
Applies to all cars
- Reinstall the nuts. Tighten the nuts. Tighten to 18 Nm (13 lbf.ft.)
- Connect the antenna connector.
Applies to cars with mudguards
- Rivet the mudguards into place. See point en-GB0900c8af8289bc1c#KC01651185.
Applies to all cars
- Reinstall the wheels. Tighten the screws crosswise. Tighten to 110 Nm (81 lbf.ft.).

Applies to cars with lining mats with four perforations (see point )
- Install the rubber tabs (from the kit) over the four exposed screws as follows:Align the rubber tabs (1) edge to edge with the lining mat.Press the rubber tab (2) together slightly to align in the cut out.Align the rubber tab (3) so that the lower edge is edge to edge with the lining mat. Cut off the section protruding over the lining mat. Do not cut off an excessive amount.
Applies to cars with lining mats with one perforation (see point )
- Install a new lining mat.

- If necessary, cut away the area (1) around the screw heads so that the screws are accessible.
- Install the tow hitch (13) with the sleeves (14), the screws (15) and the nuts (16) together with the trailer connector and bracket (17) and safety cable bracket (18) (from the kit). See the kit illustration on page 2.Install them horizontally. Install the screws from the left-hand side with the trailer connector and bracket and the safety bracket cable positioned in the rear hole
- Tighten the screws. Tighten to 90 Nm (68 lbf.ft).
Внимание: Post-tighten the screws after approximately 1000 km.
- Connect the cable harness connector for the tow hitch according to point 1 in the relevant Installation Instructions
- Install the cable harness for the tow hitch according to point 2 onwards in the relevant Installation Instructions.

- Install the towing ball on the tow hitch using the screws and nuts from the kit. The nuts must be on the inside
- Tighten the towing ball. Tighten to 195 Nm (144 lbf.ft.).
Внимание: The nuts for the towing ball may only be used once.
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
Reinstall:
- the battery negative lead
- the battery cover and holder
- the side panel in the cargo compartment
- the storage cover and floor hatch
- the floor carpet.
- Remove the backing from the bumper.
