Tail pipe (2004)

• Clean the outer tail pipe on the rear silencer tail pipe on the left and right-hand sides.

• Take the tail pipe and clamp from the kit. Install the clamp on the tail pipe as illustrated.

Illustration A applies to the S40

• Thread the tail pipe onto the outer tail pipe of the silencer. Slide the tail pipe on until the front edge is edge to edge with the front edge on the outer tail pipe of the silencer
• Turn the tail pipe so that the protruding section points straight up. See illustration C
• Turn the clamp so that it is positioned so that it does not catch the securing eyelet when the silencer moves. See illustration A.

Illustration B applies to the V50

• Thread the tail pipe onto the outer tail pipe of the silencer. Slide the tail pipe on until the front edge is 26 mm (1 ") from the front edge of the outer tail pipe of the silencer
• Turn the tail pipe so that the protruding section points straight up. See illustration C
• Turn the clamp so that it is positioned so that it does not catch the securing eyelet when the silencer moves. See illustration A.

Illustration C applies to the S40 and V50

• Tighten the clamp. Recommended tightening torque20-25 Nm (14-18 lbf.ft.).
