General

The control module tests itself and certain input and output signals and whether the components of the central locking and alarm system are working.

DTCs

If the control module finds a fault, it posts a permanent DTC. If the same fault occurs again, it posts another DTC. Up to 10 different DTCs can be stored at any time. If a large number of DTCs occur, the first five and last five DTCs will always be posted: in other words, if there are 12 DTCs, no. 6 and 7 will be lost.

Примечание: Remember that the DTC you read first is always the last fault.

Miscellaneous

Where DTCs mean there is a major problem with the central locking or alarm systems, the red indicator LED on the central locking switch will start flashing when driving.

Примечание: If a fault occurs in the central locking or alarm systems, no values or replacement parameters will be frozen as is usual with the engine management system.
