Ski box

• Place the ski box on the load carriers parallel to the car. Ensure that neither the ski box nor the load carrier obstruct the tailgate.

• When opening the box ensure that the opposite side is locked. The four moveable securing plates (A) in the bottom of the box should be moved so that they lie above the load carrier rails between the grommets (B) in the relevant securing plate (A).

• Position the locking handle (C) in each securing plate in the vertical position. Insert the first U-bracket (D) upwards through the grommets (B).

• Press the centre section of the securing plates downward, pressing against the indicated pressure point (K) beside the lock handle (C). Press the U-bracket (D) upwards until it is tight against the load carrier.

• Fold down the lock handle (C) to the horizontal position. This requires a force of approximately 50 N, there should be considerable tension. If this is not the case the U-bracket installation must be repeated
• Then fold the safety bracket (E) over the lock handle (C) until it snaps shut. If this cannot be done, check that the lock handle is snapped shut in the final position. Install the other three securing plates in the same way.

• Install the ski holders (f) by first pressing the first and then the second bolt (G) onto the underneath of the ski holder and in fork (H) on the securing plate (A)
• Thread the tensioning strap (I) through the eyelets on the securing plates (A). When transporting skis, the skis must be placed on the ski holder (F) and tightened securely using the tensioning strap (I).

When transporting other goods other than skis the ski holders can be removed. Goods must be secured using the tensioning strap to prevent sliding. The strap must be tightened evenly. The load must be distributed evenly. The maximum permitted load weight is 50 kg. The maximum roof load must not be exceeded. • The ski box is equipped with a double sided locking system. When opening the box ensure that the opposite side is locked. The locking system is equipped with safety springs which prevent the keys from being removed if the box is not completely closed. Check that both sides are locked and the keys have been removed before a journey.

• Open the ski box and remove the load and ski holders. Fold down the safety bracket (E), open the locking handle (C) and fold it to the vertical position. Press down the centre of the securing plate in the roof box with one hand. Press against the pressure points (K) beside the lock handle (C) compare with illustration C. At the same time pull the U bracket (D) down from the mounting unit (A) using the other hand.
