Rear spoiler (2)

• Rub down (wet and dry 1000).
• Degrease.

• Polyurethane, 2 components
• Coat thickness 10-15 µm
• Evaporation time 10 minutes
• Drying time/temp. 60 minutes max 60°C (140°F)

• Remove the plugs (2x).
• Apply tape over the holes in the tailgate.

• Measure the position of the holes on the tailgate and center the holes.

• Apply tape as illustrated to protect the paint from metal chips.
• Lubricate drill sites with a little grease.
• Drill 2x Ø 7 mm (9/32”) holes. (Use a drill stop 20 mm (50/64”).)

• Check the fitting of the spoiler with tailgate closed and open.
• Ensure that spoiler clears all other components.
• Clean the tailgate very carefully.
• Treat with rust-proofing agent.
• Degrease the surface where the spoiler will be located.

• Degrease the spoiler feet and the rear windshield washer hole.
• Apply the double-sided tape onto the spoiler feet as illustrated.
• Apply masking tape to rear windshield washer hole.

• Remove the protective film.
• Position the spoiler so that (A, A') is the same on the right and left side.
• Install the spoiler (2x nuts) to 5 Nm (3.6 ft.lbf). (Take care that the nuts do not fall into the tailgate.)
• Reinstall the plugs (2x).
