Noise from left A-post

Background:

A creaking noise at the left A post of certain cars may be heard under acceleration and braking. The noise comes from the point where three vertical panels are joined at the windscreen wiper well end plate. The creaking can decrease or disappear completely if oil is applied between the inner panels. The oil should be applied with an eyedropper.The method is suitable for cars within the following chassis number range. Cars outside the chassis number range have been modified in production.
