Navigation system, RTI (2000, 2001)

• Turn the ignition switch to position 0.
• Disconnect the battery negative lead.

Примечание: Wait at least five minutes before disassembling the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.

• Fold the left-hand rear seat cushion forward (1).
• Fold the left-hand rear backrest (2) forward.

• Remove the two floor hatches in the cargo compartment.

• Remove the left-hand folding side panel in the cargo compartment.

• Remove the left side panel. Remove the cover and the screw from the front edge.
• Pull the top of the panel inwards until the clips release.
• Fold the panel inwards. Lift the panel out.

• Remove the clip (1).
• Remove the insulation panel.

• Remove the screws (1).
• Lift out the unit and turn it so that the connections on the back are accessible.

• Remove the tape (1) on the CD drive wiring and detach the connectors.

• Take a ferrite from the kit.
• Open it by carefully prizing out the catch with a screwdriver.

• Take the top wiring (yellow and green connector) and also take brown, white and lilac cables from the lower wiring.
• Make a loop with the wiring as illustrated.

• Fit the ferrite to the loop where the wiring is doubled.
• Clamp the ferrite together so that a click is heard from the catch.

• Take the other ferrite from the kit and fit it on the remaining wiring.
• Adjust the wiring so that the loop is as small as possible and so that the ferrites come close to the connectors.
• Plug in the connectors.

• Take the cover from the kit.
• Press the cover in over the CD player's front panel.

Примечание: All 6 tabs must make contact with the CD player's chassis.

Reinstall:

• the unit with 3 screws (1) and tighten the screws to 10 Nm (7 lbf ft).
• the insulation panel.
• the side panels.
• the floor hatches.
• Fold up the back and seat cushion.
• Turn the ignition key to position II.
• Reconnect the battery negative lead.
• Check the function.

Примечание: When changing a disc the cover must be removed and then refitted.
