There is no need for the subsequent adjustment of the camber and caster angles and thus the eccentric adjuster for the camber angle, previously located on the lower control arms, is withdrawn.The toe-in angle can be adjusted, as before, with eccentric joints on the track rod mountings on the axle beam.Adjustment of toe in variation during suspension movements by inserting shims between the upper control arm and the wheel bearing housing is unchanged.This affects the track/tie rod angle and thus how much the toe in changes during suspension movements.Although this may affect the caster angle to some extent, this is of very little practical significance.When assembling the rear axle, it is important that the control arms, trailing arms, track rods etc. are correctly positioned so that the rubber bushings are correctly pretensioned.The screws which fasten the lower control arm rubber bushes to the rear axle member and wheel bearing housing are now serrated to hold the rubber bushings in the correct position. This means that the sleeves are locked as soon as the fastener grooves enter the sleeves. It is thus impossible to adjust the control arm angle unless the joints are disassembled.
