Load carriers (2001, 2002)

• Find the locating pins for the securing the load carrier. These locating pins are between the roof edge and the roof trim strip. See the illustration.

Carry out points 2-4 on both the load carriers, and on both of their sides:

• Position the load carrier according to the decal under the cover
• Align the guide holes (1) with the locating pins. Start on one side
• Carefully lower the mounting on the other side down towards the roof. Align the other guide hole for the mounting on the pins in the same way.

• Tighten the knob slightly
• Slide the knob down to the outer position in the groove
• Press the knob towards the roof mounting. Hook the hook into the roof mounting under the roof strip. See the illustration
• Check that the hook is secured in the roof mounting
• Press the knob all the way back into the groove.

• Screw the knob down to the rubber washer
• Tighten the knobs alternately until they grip securely
• Check that the load carrier is secured
• Lower the cover.

Regularly check that the knobs are securely tightened.
