This information pack describes the use of the protective coating and the washing agent used for removing old protective coatings.Washing agent P/N: 11 61 431-0. It can be purchased from the Volvo Car Corporation, Aftersales.For comprehensive product information regarding health and environmental considerations, refer to the product safety sheet which is available from Volvo dealers or the Volvo Car Corporation, Aftersales.The protective coating can be used for storage and transport protection.

Примечание: The protective coating should not be allowed to remain on for more than 6 months. It should then be washed off and replaced with a new coating.

If the protective coating remains on for more than 6 months, it may be difficult to wash off. Cars (even if covered with a protective coating) which are parked outdoors and are exposed to bird droppings, should be washed clean regularly, otherwise the result may be permanent damage to the paintwork.

Environment:

The protective coating and washing agent can be discharged with the waste water. However, large spillage of the above in concentrated form should either be collected or soaked up using an absorbent such as Absol.

Health:

The washing agent is an irritant to the skin and eyes. In the event of contact with the eyes, rinse with running water for at least 15 minutes. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Rinse out the mouth and drink large quantities of water.If the protective coating comes in direct contact with the eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water.

For application of protective coating: use a mask with a particle filter and protective gloves.When washing with washing agent: use goggles and protective gloves. The washing agent is alkaline; in concentrated form it has a ph value of 12.7.
