Bicycle holder, cargo compartment

• Install the two M6 knobs with threads, two washers and two M6 nuts (from the kit) on the wheel holder (also from the kit) as illustrated
• Repeat the operation on the other wheel holder.

• Take two T-groove screws and two M6 knobs from the kit. Install the T-groove screws underneath the wheel holder. Screw in the two knobs a few turns
• Repeat the operation on the other wheel holder.

• Take the M8 knob with a screw and washer from the kit. Position the washer against knob
• Install the M8 knob with the washer and screw on the fork mounting. Install a washer and the M8 knob on the other end of the screw
• Repeat the operation on the other fork mounting.

• Take two M6 knobs and the mounting from the kit. Install the mounting underneath the fork mounting
• Tighten the two M6 knobs a few turns
• Repeat the operation on the other fork mounting.

• Install both fork mountings on the aluminium bar. Position them slightly apart from each other in the centre of the bar as illustrated
• Tighten the vertical knobs so that both fork mountings are secure.

• Install both wheel holders on the aluminium bar. Position them as illustrated
• Tighten the horizontal knobs so that both wheel holders are secure.

• Compress both halves on the saddle holders
• Install both saddle holders on the aluminium bar. Position them as illustrated.

The following must be carried out on both the right and left-hand brackets

• Remove the protective film (A) from the rubber tab in the kit
• Stick the rubber tab on the bracket according to (B).

Applies to the V70 (00-)

• Take the short M6 screw with the rounded head and the long M6 nut sleeve from the kit. Install the screws in the lower hole in the bracket as illustrated. Tighten
• Press the threaded plate (from the kit) with the Velcro strip opposite the inner holes in the bracket
• Repeat the operation on the other bracket.

Applies to the V70 (-00)

• Take the short M6 screw with the rounded head and the long nut sleeve from the kit. Install the screws in the upper hole in the bracket as illustrated. Tighten
• Take the long M6 screw with the rounded head and the nut from the kit. Install them in the uppermost hole of the two at the bottom of the bracket as illustrated. Tighten
• Using the Velcro strip, press the threaded plate (from the kit) into place the opposite the outer holes in the bracket
• Repeat the operation on the other bracket.

• Install the bracket and the threaded plate in one end of the aluminium bar. Ensure that the hole for the threaded plate is opposite the hole in the bracket
• Repeat the operation on the other side.

Illustration A applies to the V70 (00-)

Illustration B applies to the V70 (-00)

• Tighten the bracket in the aluminium bar using the two screws from the kit
• Repeat the operation on the other side.

• Fold up the seat cushions (1) on the right and left-hand sides of the rear seat
• Fold the backrests forwards (2) on the right and left-hand sides of the rear seat.

• Lift the bicycle holder into the car through one of the rear doors. Press the bicycle holder into place in the locking device for the rear backrest. Press down both mountings into the bottom of the locking device until the lock engages. Pull the bicycle holder to check that the lock has engaged.

• Remove the front wheel and the saddle from the bicycle
• Lift the bicycle into the car through the boot
• Secure the front forks in the right-hand fork mounting. Tighten the two knobs fully.

• Secure the front wheel in the right-hand wheel holder
• Adjust the angle of the wheel holder using the two knobs on the sides so that the wheel is correctly positioned in the wheel holder
• Install the wheel. Secure the wheel using the wheel nuts
• Tighten the wheel holder fully using the two knobs on the sides when the wheel is resting against the folded backrest.

• Secure the saddle in the saddle holder as illustrated. Tighten the knob fully.

• Secure the bicycle using a retaining strap through the rear wheel and through the load securing eyelet as illustrated. Tighten the bicycle so that it cannot move.

Carry out the same procedure when loading further bicycles. All bicycles should face the same way to best utilise the cargo compartment. Secure the bicycle using a retaining strap as outlined above.
