Применимость

The alarm system is only available in combination with the remote-controlled central locking system. The alarm electronics are then integrated in the central locking system control module (1).

The alarm is activated and deactivated (only with the ignitionoff(2)) via the remote control (3) and "auto relock". The alarm isnotaffected by:

• The central locking switch on the dashboard (4).
• The switches in the driver's door (5).

The alarm will activate if:

• Any of the doors, hood or trunk/tailgate is opened via door switches (6).
• Anyone cuts the battery or siren (8) wires.
• The ultrasonic sensors (10) detect any movement inside the car.
• The glass breakage sensor detects any breakage of windows.

Warning lights (11)

These operate as follows:

• Alarm activated 1 x 1 sec.*
• Alarm deactivated 2 x in 1 sec.*

• If there is a break-in attempt 5 min.

• (where allowed)Siren (8)

The siren will sound if:

• There is an alarm 30 sec.
• Anyone tries to break in 5 min.

The siren is a piezo-electric unit with a backup battery. This battery is always charged automatically. The alarm control module uses a communications line to check that the siren is connected.A horn may be fitted instead of a siren in some countries (9). This is controlled by a relay and does not have a communications line.Horn (9)

The horn will sound if:

• There is an alarm (breakin) 30 sec.

Ultrasonic sensor (10)This works in conjunction with the alarm. It has a separate control module (7). This is connected to the alarm control module and is checked via a communications line in exactly the same way as the siren.The ultrasonic sensors are fitted in the roof lining.You can check whether the ultrasonic is working by switching the ignition off and not opening any door.If you make a movement within 30 seconds, the LED will show whether the ultrasonic is working or not.Glassbreakage sensor (10)This works in conjunction with the alarm. It has a separate control module (7). This is connected to the alarm control module and is checked via a communication line in exactly the same way as the siren.The glassbreakage sensor is fitted in the interoir light panel. The glassbreakage system can only be checked with special tools.LED (12)The LED is in the central locking system switch on the dashboard.The LED indicates the status of the alarm system. (and deadlock if fitted)

The VIDA PC can be used to test and program the system.

Примечание: The alarm system does not have any start inhibitor function. This function is implemented in the immobilizer system instead. These systems are independent from each other.
